Methods and precautions for cleaning the barrel screw of injection molding machine 

 

1. Remove the residue adhered to the inside and outside of the barrel screw. You can use a brass brush to remove it.

2. Use a cloth to clean the inner and outer surfaces of the barrel screw. Do not use organic cleaning fluid during cleaning to prevent the barrel screw from rusting and corroding. It is recommended to use cotton cloth for cleaning.

3. Clean the barrel and nozzle, especially the surface parts that need to be in frequent contact with these accessories to avoid resin leakage after scratches and subsequent difficulty in use.

4. To lower the temperature of the barrel to 30~50℃, dip some cleaning solvent on the cotton cloth to clean the inside of the barrel. Pay attention to wiping the outside and the inside.

5. Check the inner and outer surface of the barrel screw to ensure that its surface and interior are clean, dry and free of water marks.

 

Injection molding machine barrel screw cleaning precautions

 

1. Do not use plastic materials with relatively low sol temperature to flush the material tube, such as TPE, TPR, PU, TPU, etc.

2. If the injection molding machine needs to be used to produce transparent products, in order to avoid more serious wear of the barrel and screw, it is prohibited to use POM cleaning

3. Pay attention to the melting point temperature of the cleaning barrel screw material. Generally speaking, the melting point temperature should not be too low, especially not lower than the melting point temperature of the residual material in the barrel screw.

4. If the raw materials to be produced next are the same as before, the same materials can be used for cleaning.
